This week I received the Saponificio Varesino lathering bowl. It's a unique design that includes a removable handle, textured finish with a domed-divot-ed center piece designed to aid in making lather. I whipped up a batch of SV's Tundra Artica and quickly had very creamy, beautiful lather- undoubtedly the best lather I've seen.

It's very light and is easy to hold while lathering. And it looks great in the bathroom....a shaving grail.

I usually face lather but will be definitely including this bowl and it's wonderful lather into my shaves.

Just a reminder. The Cackalacky House Pet has no lathe.

I dunno....I think I'd be constantly afraid it would tip over....

It reminds me a bit about the Antiga Barberia bowl a bit though which I rather like and can be had for $30 shipped.

I love that bowl, someone posted it a while back and I mentioned the elegant simplicity it had. Was that you?:signs002:

Have no fear it feels stable. I've eyed those Portuguese bowls as well, they look elegant.
