Brick and mortar wetshaving stores

Before buying my first set of wetshaving gear, I read the various reviews online. Although the information was very helpful, I also wanted to see the various bits and pieces firsthand before buying. Fortunately, there was a store that carried a good selection of traditional wetshaving supplies in the area. That store is listed below, along with a few others of which I am aware. I left individual stores from large chains like Art of Shaving, CVS and Target off the list, as they have a vast number of locations. Their selection is very expensive (AoS) or somewhat limited at present (CVS and Target).

What do you folks think, would such a list be useful? If so, please feel free to add any stores or corrections of which you know to the list.

I have been to all except c.o. bigelow and I hope to visit them soon (supposedly they are the oldest drug store in the country). Some of these shops are really great to visit but none have the selection of Pasteur Pharmacy on 34th street. . I hope the list helps, Enjoy!

This could be a useful list when travelling around the world I think.

If this aint US only (it's not stated), then I suggest the list gets split up, depending on country. In that case, I can think of these few in my drive-able distance. If US only, please disregard the below.

Rossmann and Karstadt in Germany. They have a nice variety of creams and stuff.

In Denmark I can only think of Barberen i Silkeborg, as mentioned in another thread.

That is a very good idea! And I hope this list isn't US only. My take is that to be included on the list, a store must meet only two requirements:

    1) It must have a physical presence, although that does not exclude stores that also have an online presence. The physical presence could be a traditional store, a kiosk at a marketplace, flea market or inside a larger building with other sellers, or even a cart by the side of the street.

    2) The store must have regular business hours. No "call us first to see if we will be around" type of things.

I edited my original entries to note that they are in the US.
