British Newbie

    Hi all,

    I'm new to DE shaving having starting this month with a Merkur 34C and getting rid of the carts I've been scraping across my face for the past 20 years.

    I really wish I'd never encountered carts and gone with a DE from day one, but I suppose like most men, I used what my dad did, which was a Gillette Sensor at the time.

    I found out that DE was still about on the Art of Manliness blog and got the Merkur with a Badger brush and a tub of T&H Sandalwood cream for Christmas.

    Unfortunately, aided and abetted by the enabling bar-stewards over at Badger and The UK based Shaving Room I have already accumulated a monster collection of creams, soaps, sticks and blades :)

    I look forward to you guys leading me further astray!

    Glad to see you have a good start on your collection. If you have any interest in SE you may want to look into getting an EverReady Streamline it's a really nice SE razor and can be found as a set with case and EverReady auto stropper. They are rare in America,but readily available in the UK...:happy088:
