If you have ever tried BBBR after shave balm, then you know exactly what the cologne smells like. If not, then get ready for an olfactory delight. The very first image that went through my mind at first smell, was a cedar chest we had as a child. Then my days as a laborer at a construction job site with all the smells of freshly cut lumber came in to play. Then the bay rum hit. Goes on very strong and takes about an hour to begin to mellow. It dries nicely with a faint powdery scent. It lasts all day long. I put some on around 7 o'clock in the morning, and by dinner time around 6:30, it was still very noticeable. The atomizer is average at best. It would be much better if it produced more of a mist than a spray. The cost is a bit pricey for my wallet, $22 for a 2 oz. bottle, but it was a have to have item for me. I don't wear colognes that often and combined with its potency and longevity, this bottle should last me a long time.
I think it's lovely--one of the finest bay rum scents, and not that expensive. However, I think it was discontinued. I haven't seen it for a long time.
