The scent is super, if you like bay rum, which I do, and it's a good aftershave for sensitive skin, and it's very moisturizing, and soothing. Why couldn't the shaving soap perform well? Jeff
Bay Rum aftershave "Balms" are hard to find.....so I had a tough time picking this one apart as the scent is incredible AND its all natural... Lacks moisturizing, for a "balm". And, its hard to find (discontinued?). Other than that, this is excellent, and as long as I can find it I'll keep some in stock. Goes very well with the Burt's Bees Bay Rum Cologne. ------------ Ingredients Water, SD alcohol 40-B (distilled from yellow corn), vegetable glycerin, oat protein, witch hazel, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), menthol, xanthan gum (natural thickener), matricaria extract, rosemary extract, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), citric acid (fruit acid), fragrance (essential oil blend). 99.71% Natural
Burt's Bay Rum Unfortunately, all Burt's Bees Bay Rum products are discontinued. I wrote the company six months ago asking about them. No plans to sell them again.
Got his as a gift from my son. I do know the price because of perusing their website, and it is a bit over priced IMHO. The balm does give a small flash of heat when applying, but I have used others that were much more intense. The stuff smells like heaven in paradise! Great scent that makes you feel as though you should be on vacation in a tropical paradise. It smells identical to their Bay Rum cologne. Only dislike I have with this other than price is its longevity. I'm lucky to smell it after 3 hours.
