It's not rare. I can assure you of that. Not the classiest picture ever, but there's a few rare brushes in that bunch.
Why yes, I do believe I have one of those. If I ever come across another, I'll let you know. Edit: I wouldn't mind having that Rooney in the upper left corner of your pictures. Not enough to trade a Nano Wee Scot for, but still, it's a nice looking brush. Is that a second Rooney next to it?
I think I actually bid on that Kent in front as well. you mean the brush on the left edge on the red box? It doesn't actually have a Rooney label but I believe that it is a Rooney. There is another one just like it behind and to the right of the little guy in front.
Well, it might be apt to post this here....OSSBrocante on Etsy is selling off over 10 Simpson butterscotch brushes here They are being sold individually, but here's a group photo:
the tri-cornered shield label with the cut corners is unique to Rooney. No other manufacturer used it. I'm trying to figure out why some idiot peeled off the 'Simpson's' labels on all those NOS brushes. In my eyes, that halves the value of that collection.
a beautiful collection. he is mighty proud of some of those brushes. the horn handle on the bottom row second from the left is listed at $345.
Such wonderful forests of butterscotch.. And Darkbulb did you know that your cartridge razor closely resembles a pipe lighter..
I only have a few brushes and only one butterscotch brush, but I consider myself a butterscotch fanatic anyway. I really wanted the Whipped Dog goblet handle when I ordered my last brush but it wasn't available in butterscotch, so the choice was obvious for me.
I just picked up my first butterscotch brush last month, a Whipped Dog with a High Mountain knot. I absolutely love this brush. Out preforms many others that are 3-4 times as expensive.
