I went to Crabtree & Evelyn to get a BBB. After searching under the counter for quite some time, and sorting out brushes in the wrong boxes the C&E lady came up with a C&E BBB but the handle seems larger than what is commonly discussed on this site. The handle is 6cm long. Is there a C&E BBB med or large?

The brush commonly referred to as a C&E BBB is an Edwin Jagger medium brush. They also sell a larger brush with a larger handle in best, but it is $65-$95 (don't recall the exact price) instead of the bargain $35.

These are the brushes on their website. I don't know if that's all they carry or not, but the brush marked is the one everyone raves about...

Well, like I said many of the brushes were in the wrong box and this brush said "best badger" on it. The store clerk could not find anything other than BBB sm in the stock book, so she sold it to me for $35. Looks like I got a good deal! Awesome brush!!!!!

The dimensions of THE C&E BBB are: "knot size of approximately 22mm, a brush loft of approximately 50mm and a handle length of approximately 45mm". I found that info in PottyDoctor's post here (thanks, Ron).

And, by the way (since I just noticed your post count) - Welcome to The Shave Den!!

Thank you, it is nice to be here. This brush has all those stats except the handle is 60mm.

Hmm, does it look like any of the ones pictured above? I seem to recall they used to have a wider variety so maybe you got a leftover model that they no longer carry. Anyway, for $35, you can't go wrong!

It looks like the BBB small only the handle is longer. It could be a remanant, the clerk was digging under the counter for a good 20 minnutes before she pulled this one out. It works out well because I have rather large paws. So I was worried that the small well, would be too small.

In the U.K., the same brush is described as "ivory" rather than "cream" and is on their website for £41.11. That doesn't make sense given that they're made in the U.K. !

But at least it doesn't say "out of stock". :D
