The sad irony is that although BBB exists in Canada - they do not carry C.O.Bigelow. So the shipping costs basically kill the discount...
This weekend my wife and I were at B&BW and she asked me if I wanted any and told me it was on sale. I then had to remind her that I have about 25 pucks of hard soap sitting in the closet, waiting to be used. She didnt believe me, so I had to show her.
She just rolled her eyes and laughed. My wife is pretty cool about spending money. We have an agreement that as long as the bills are paid and we meet the savings goals for the month, its no questions asked. Shes knows that I work my butt off 50+ hours a week in a factory, going in early, staying late; so she doesnt really get on me about money.
What a great shave with the COB and the Korona/GSB duo. 2.5 passes of shaving excellence! Followed up with Proraso Green A/S. Nice and coool.

I have been neglecting my creams lately as a soap AD kicked in. But for Menthol Monday I lathered up the C.O.B. Using my Omega 6212 Silvertip, I had a slick, cool lather in no time. 2.5 passes with my 1911 OLD loaded with a Shark Super Chrome yielded a BBS shave. Splashed on some Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba and a great Monday was underway.
Has the quality evened out with the CO Bigelow tubes? The last one I used up a few years ago was off.. the scent was not as good as it had been. It had almost a musty vibe to it. I could tell the difference because I still had a little bit left in a previous tube. The older one just smelled fresher, the eucalyptus had more zing. I've been avoiding it for a while because I was concerned about their quality control. I know it's the same as Proraso, which made me think that something happened in the transfer between companies. It's been weird not having it in my collection.
Lathered up the COB this morning using these: Found 'em at the fleamarket yesterday. Brush works good for being from the '50's?
Update; I found a local independent pharmacy that stocks products the owner prefers. I picked up a fresh tub of Green soap, Blue lotion, and DE blades - Astra SP & Feather.
Love me some COB, works exceptionally well for me and I even like the slightly medicinal smell of it. And the menthol is just right for me as well.
The COB will be out for tomorrow. And some Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba. Going through my brush lineup so my Omega 6212 Silvertip is up.
