To one shave setup for a week?? I would like to think so and am going to try it this coming week. I guess it would be called Shave of the Week rather than Shave of the Day.

Reason?? Well, I try different razors/blades/creams/soaps/brushes/etc almost daily. Most of the time I get really fine shaves but have been wondering if by using the same setup/products for a week I would find the strengths and/or weaknesses of the items involved thus leading to the "ultimate" shave setup.

Well, time will tell. Not sure what week one will consist of. Depends on what I pick out in the morning. Let's see what happens.

I have tried to be faithful to the same wet shaving gear on the past...I only lasted 3 days...:o:o
Good luck and keep us update.

Ohhh that is just too dang hard! I can use the same razor, but not the same soap/cream.

The only time I was ever faithful to one setup was when I only had 1 razor, 1 brush and 1 soap. Hehe...now I can't stop from changing up all of the time.

If nothing new comes in the mail, I'm good for the life of a blade. After that, deals off, time for something new.

My opinion - that's boring, the spice of life is trying new things and discovering better ways of accomplishing this task that we all do - my opinion

Hope I can do this, y'all almost talked me out of trying. I'll post my setup in SOTD and make comments there.

I have three soaps that I rotate. I have a favorite razor or two that I use mostly but I usually take several into the shower (Between 2 and 8) to try if I get the funky feeling. I also have several different body washes. I shave in the shower as part of my daily relaxation instead of a hobby. I gueess you can say that shaving in the shower is my hobby. Much less harmful to the environment that most other hobbies such as building models or flying remote-controlled airplanes. I would like to figure out a good way to shave in the bathtub.

    Money saver

Sure would be a money saver if we all could use just one, no matter what.

Day 2 of fidelity. Nice shave, no problems. Did get a better lather today as I am learning the brush/cream combo better.

The Parker is a nice razor that I really like. It is aggressive and with a sharp blade like a Feather or 7 OCB, it can be deadly if you are not careful. Mind your manners and you'll get a fantastic shave.

Don't think the Wilkinson (India) is the best choice for the Parker though. Some combo's work well together but this one is only slightly above average. Strange cuz the Wilkinson works very well in my Lord Smart razor and in my Fatboy. Live and learn I guess.

I must say that that for me it very hard to stick to one set up. I get to excited to try the different set ups that are available to me. I know... I am kind of a nerd...

Can you hear your other razors talking to you?

I can hear my carbon straight calling me, but that's about it. The object here is to replace eight double edges with my two dovo straights for a net loss of six, makes for a smaller foot print on the shave den coutner top.

I vote fidelity! I personally feel that on a long timescale, using shave gear/products for a few weeks at a time fits my preferences better. I'm at the point where I've pretty much narrowed down what I like (3 soaps, 3 creams, 2 DEs, 2 brushes, 2 straights), and I much prefer a rotation where I use each for a few weeks to randomly picking stuff every morning.
    Different strokes for different folks!

Actually Im heading on the same direction, but I like shavesticks a lot(at least they dont ocuppy a lot of space),But yes 3 soaps,3 creams 3 razors and a couple brushes is more than enough.I think that I have some on my mind now.
