I was curious as to if a shave soap would clean at all if I were to use it in the shower? Only asking because a few that I own have a great scent but give a sub-par lather and are only collecting dust right now.
Dunno, never tired it , though i do use the leftover lather after a shave for a face wash, so i guess it could be used
^this. Just think twice before trying a regular soap as a shaving soap (in most cases).... it may work, but your face will probably not be very happy.
I can't see whay it wouldn't. If it is sub par for shaving it should work for washing....why waste it?
I've shaved many times with regular Dial and other house brands. It all lathers up well enough to shave with a Rolls. Extra dryness was the only catch so if one's skin is prone to drying out, it's probably best avoided.
This is where all shave soaps that I just have to try, but find subpar, go. No sense wasting it! The one exception is Williams - nothing could induce me to rub something that vile smelling on my body!
Similar enough to be able to use a shave soap as a bath soap, but different enough that a bath soap doesn't make the greatest shave soap.
Absolutely!! I've used all my subpar shave soaps to shower with. I wouldn't do it in the reverse direction however and try using "Any" bath soap no matter how good it might be to shave with..... I also have to admit to love using Williams and enjoying the smell also...
One of our local soap makers sells a "Camp Bar" in various fragrances. As a soap it can be used for washing, shaving and shampoo. I often use the excess lather from shave soap for the shower.
