Can someone explain Lustray Blue Spice?

I accept that it's designed to tone you up right after a barbershop shave and then vanish before you're down the block, but this has so little fragrance after the alcohol punch in the nose that I can't even identify what family it's in. I'm tempted to add AV blue to it just to smack it around a bit, and I ain't crazy about AV blue.

Menthol for sure, though. It's just begging me to turn it into a menthol nuke.

My dad, however, loved the second bottle. He's 85 and swears this is what his dad used to wear home from the barbershop.

It's like Lucky Tiger Aspen. Hangs around long enough to get the job done then the scent is gone.

Added some sprays of Avon Mesmerize, it's a good mix, quite pleasant.

To me it does have some semblance to Lucky Tiger Aspen in scent, however Aspen is a little stronger but disappears fairly quickly. Blue Spice eventually morphs into a scent that is pretty darn close to that of baby powder with a little spice in the background. I like it. and use it a couple of times a month. Transplant it to a glass bottle and in a few weeks it becomes "crisper" and cleaner in scent. It's cheap and decent especially if you are in a cooler climate or an air conditioned environment....it does not hold up as well in central georgia heat. It is inoffensive good for an office enviroment. I got a few compliments on it in the office where I used to work.

I've had a bottle for over 3 years, and it's still at least half full! I was disappointed in it when I tried it, since I expected it to be a variation of things like Old Spice and Lustray Spice, but it is not.

It is pleasant enough in scent, but nothing special at all. You get a whiff of it when you splash it on, and 10 seconds later you smell nothing.

BTW, the bottle is BIG, just like other Lustrays. That being said, it would only last Sam Malone a week. :)

I added a few menthol crystals to mine and that turns it into a nice warm weather splash.
