Can you tell me a brand of cartridge razor blades that last the most? I am soon to start working and will probably have to shave every day. I need a decent long-lasting blades, that I won't have to throw away after the first use. Thank you very much.
The only one that can answer that question is you. How long one will last depends on how tough your beard is and how sensitive your skin is. My beard is medium across the board and most any cart or blade I've tried will last me 7-10 shaves.
I have got 35 BBS from a Gillette Fusion Pro glide Power ... I can easily get an irritation free shave every day. Preparation is the key, I use good shave soap and a brush to make a good lather. Also do 3 passes with as little pressure as possible. Purchased a Mach3 in the supermarket tonight so I will be keeping a record of how many great shaves I get on each cartridge, will be interesting to revisit this razor after years of mainly DE ans SE use.
I like the Hydro 5. I get 20, 4 pass shaves. It is the smoothest razor of any I have used. I don't like the lube strip but I soak the head overnigh and wash most away the next day. My absolute desert island razor. I also like Proglise, same duration just not quite as smooth. I like both.
I have a heavy beard. I recommend the Fusion Power (the manual Fusion has a coating that doesn't last that long). I get ca. 25 bbs shaves without irritations. I don't recommend the Mach3 or the Sensor: They take longer to give you a bbs shave and last for only about 6-7 shaves.
