I went garage saleing this morning and see what I got. If anyone know any information i would appreciate it. Left I think is a Gillette Fat boy date code F 1 not to sure though center is atra handle with a code 4 1 right is a gem junior which is tarnished pretty bad has a bunch of green stuff on it.
Great finds on that hunt 1 - does indeed look like a fatboy. F 1 dates it to 1st qtr of 1960 2 - not sure but i'm sure the peeps more familar with atra's will chime in 3 - looks like a 1912 Gem Jr witha a standard gold handle - You should be able to clean the green stuff off it. If you need help in how to do that just llet us know.
#2 doesn't look like an Atra to me. I'm not sure what it is, but it doesn't have the same cartidge connection that my Dad's atra had (I started with a Sensor). +1 on items #1 and #3
thanks for the information. #2 Does say "atra" on the top where the blade attaches and "gillette" on the underside of the neck. My research I think it might be 1988 model metal handle?
Use Scrubbing Bubbles. Just soak for about ten minutes and give it the once over with a toothbrush. Some folks will use a metal polish after the Scrubbing Bubbles to shine things up (Maas, Simichrome, Flitz). Nice finds!
