Chicago Get Together - The Great Shave 2012 - Wednesday, October 24th, 2012
SAVE THE DATE:

The Great Shave 2012 is officially scheduled and will take place on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the Dank Haus, a beautiful German-American cultural center just a block away from the historic Merz Apothecary located in Lincoln Square. The Great Shave 2012 will run from approximately 6- 9:30 PM, and will offer a tremendous selection of local food and beverages from neighborhood chefs, brewers, retailers and restaurants.

This year 's location is a much larger space to accommodate more people along with a better space for live presentations. Though attendance will require a ticket, I have not yet received word as to the ticket cost, and have been informed the ticket cost is structured to merely cover the costs of hosting such a large event with food, beverage, experts, and giveaways! There will be seminars and demonstrations with some of the country's foremost wet shave experts. There will be numerous shave industry vendors, like last year, there to present their shave products. As a reminder, attendees, last year, received goodie bags with outstanding samples.

This is an event that is open to all, including propsective vendors. In fact, prospective vendors may inquire about space with Anthony of Merz Apothecary.

Last year's event was a blast! This year we can get all the TSD members toghether early so we can laugh it up!

Thanks for posting this Stuart, I'll be there, can't wait! The first one was fantastic. Hopefully we'll have name tags and softer music so we can talk. Oh, are they bringing back the Scotch tasting? That was another highlight for me.

 

Bummer. Too far away for me.

And I've got a great idea: let's have it next year in Dreischor! That'll be a two minutes walk! For me!

 

I live 3 hours from Chicago and it falls a night where I don't have class the next morning... Hmmm this is a very tempting offer for me to catch a train up there and see this.

 

Sounds great, count me in!

 

I'm planning on making it. Sounds like a blast! Can't wait to put faces to all the names.

I wish they had stuff like that up here! I'd love to go and see Lynn give a speach about the straight razor!

I was in Buffalo Grove last weekend, didn't notice any 300 lb tic tacs. I would think that would be hard to miss, even in a big town like
Buffalo Grove.
