Just got my recently purchased fatboy back from Captain Murphy. The pre pic is from ebay and it is the second one on the left. The post is compliments of the Capt. I think it was $21 well spent.

Yep. Started it over in another forum because of a handful of Fatboy enthusiasts over there that I've been talking with via Captain Murphy's thread, but I could easily start it over here to if there's interest.

Doesn't look like the same razor! I'm not sure I would have been able to see "through" the gunk to picture the finished product.

I have actually bought several razors like that on Ebay. A short soak in CLR and a scrub with a gun brush and they clean up pretty well. The dial was completely stuck, but a little baby oil and a vice grip over a towel got it moving again. I had it cleaned up pretty good but it didn't open smoothly, so I sent it off to Capt. Murphy and had him do a complete overhaul.

No new plating. Could use it on top but that's it.
