I was in Sally Beauty today, and saw these. [vbpg]298[/vbpg] Is this something new? Anyone else found/bought/tried any of this stuff yet? They also had an exfoliating face wash, and a shave gel. They were on sale too. 2 for $12 until 7/31/07. So, I bought some. Couldn't find them on the Sally website though.
Wow! I got a heck of a deal! Check the price at Clubman's own website. http://store.clubmanonline.com/clubshavenew.html Even Sally's normal non-sale price was cheaper.
I've seen them around. Lemme know how they are when you've used em, since I have a sally a couple blocks away. Anything else noteworthy you can pick up there?
Let me know if you like the cream. I have been meaning to try it. I have to go to the local Sally just in case. Raf
You did get a deal -- I paid $7.25 for it from Appleton Barber Supply. Haven't tried it yet, though... But I don't think clubmanonline.com is actually run by Pinaud or Clubman, as the "about us" link says the site is owned by Corrado Cutlery...
The shave cream and/or the aftershave have CAFFEINE in them :drool ---> Tightens/tones the skin The cream might not be a lathering cream, but I'll let you be the judge of that
I picked up the Lather cream and A/S balm at a Sally's a few weeks back or so. I definitely like the A/S balm... nice performance, and while it doesn't smell like the traditional "Clubman" scent, it's got a nice, old-time type of smell to it. The cream so far has been an average performer for me. Not great, but not bad either. Sally's had them for $8 each or so, when I was sweeping all the local Sally's picking up their $2.99 Osage Rub clearances.
Guess I should update this thread a bit. The shave cream lathered up pretty foamy like. I didn't shave with it yet because I made my shaving cream around the time I bought this stuff. So couldn't tell you how it shaves, but I imagine it won't be very good. The Bump relief gel has a very strong smell of rubbing alcohol, which scared me at first. But I'm nothing if not daring, so I tried it. It definetly has a burn to it. I take it slow when applying it, to deal with small areas of burn at a time before applying more. But I feel it works pretty good
I emaild the Company asking for a "what do you put in it" listing a while back and got no responce, can you be so kind to report this?
Isopropyl Alcohol, Proplene Glycol, Cyclopentosiloxone, Glycerin, Acetylsolicylic Acid, Hydroxypropylcellulose, Panthenol ummm.....that's only about half the ingredients. My eyes hurt now. Thank you, Will.
