hi guys i was woundering if anybody could help me hear with some advice if anybody uses this colonge and wether its a good lasting colonge and what the smell is close to as i would like to try this old favorit colonge,im shure my grandfather used this ,some info on it would be great before i go and purches some thanks guys.
I rather like it, but then, scent is a personal thing. It's inexpensive so if you don't like it, you won't be out much. It is not a particularly long-lasting scent. Best place I found to buy is Scentiments, though I see you are in the UK and I don't know if they ship there. Good luck.
As Michael said, it is a nice smell, quite fresh, but do not last long, it is my go-to in summer together with lavanda water.....
Of course Irena is right, it doesn't last very long, but I really like the scent. I ordered a sample of JoAnna's 4711 type splash and it quickly became a favorite of mine. In the words of a missing friend of mine, "Good Stuff!"
Irena, I cannot say, I have only used JoAnna's A/S splash. I guess I should have worded my statement different. I have looked into ordering some original stuff to compare to JoAnna's, but I figure I like the TSD scent so much, I'm not sure if I want to take that gamble.
I've seen 4711 at Wal-Mart. Huge bottle, cheap/reasonable price. As for the 4711 Type FO I use, it is listed as a fragrance oil, so it may last longer than the real stuff, which I'd guess contains essential oils. But I can't say for sure.
I've heard that, but haven't seen it at the Wally World's I've been to... not that I'm a big frequenter...
I know they do JoAnna, but unless you are paying around $60 or more it's most likely synthetic fragrance oils.
True. This bottle is huge, too. Maybe Wal-Mart pushed 4711 to make a cheaper version. Because I bought a bottle online, and while it wasn't expensive, it was nowhere near the size nor value of the one at Wal-Mart. But I also don't know exactly what 4711's fragrant oil blend percents are either. It could be heavier on the cheaper citrus oils and lighter on the more expensive citrus oils. Citrus oils aren't all that expensive for the most part, though. Certainly not compared to some EOs. And I'm sure when you buy in big enough quantities they're even cheaper. Boy, I'm in some kind of rambling mood tonight, I think.
I can't recall exactly. I sold the cologne. I think they were pretty close, but I liked my FO better than the actual cologne. I'm pretty sure you can open the bottle at Wal-Mart and take a sniff, though.
No thanks, I'll just keep using your stuff. Why waste time and and money on that cheap Wal-Mart knockoff.
