Okay, I keep hearing how nice this brush is; however, I'm having trouble finding this in the states for $35. I can find it on Amazon for $49, but that's the best I can do. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tod
I fear the C&E Best Badger brush has been discontinued. The C&E brush is made by Edwin Jagger in the UK and the medium best badger here is believed to be the same brush. http://www.theenglishshavingcompany...ger Best badger shaving brushes@b|0|user||38| It looks to be about $34.50 shipped which is about the price of a C&E BBB.
I have both the C&E and Jagger Best Badger brushes. I bought the Jagger when they were on sale for 50% off. They are indistinguishable from one another and they are both great. The handles on mine are black with a chrome ring but the brushes are great for both soaps and creams. Nathan
Try the EJ medium, same brush. or contact your local Crabtree and Evelyn and see if they can locate one for you, they can do an email. I found one for my son in Miami, shipping was $6-7. Several of their stores are closing and the stock is going to their "Outlet" stores, sumpin might turn up.
My father in law bought one a couple of weeks ago at an outlet location in Mercedes, TX... but I don't know how many they had on the shelf.
I believe the CE discontinued this brush. It is no longer on their website. Some stores will have them until they are sold out. I got mine a few months ago. I called a local store and they had one left. I drove through heavy snowfall to get it. I believe the EJ brush is the same since EJ made the brushed for CE.
The English shaving co. drops the vat tax when exporting, so if you couple that with the exchange rate it may even be cheaper than C&E, They also sometimes have a discount code. Shipping is super fast. No affiliation, just a happy customer.
C&E is discontinuing it. You can call around and give the description "C&E BEST Badger Brush, Model 130291" and they may be able to call around and have it shipped if they have it at one of the stores. I went into my local and luckily the store on the other side of town had one so I went over and picked it up. But yeah, try using the model number. Kind of funny that if you type that model number they are still selling it for GBP40 in the UK...I wonder if they're not discontinuing it in favor of their "travel" Pure Badger brushes and then will slowly reintroduce it at a higher price point. Also I can't link to this since I am new but there's a detailed discussion of the model number issue and which you should ask for on SRP if you just search ?"C&E 130291" on Google. Cheers and good luck with your search!
+1 on the vulfix, i got this as my first brush but its very good and for the price you cant go wrong to cut your teeth.
