I wouldn't. Everything Crown King/ Phoenix AA is marked up significantly. You could get an equal quality or better quality scuttle if you went directly to an artisan.
Looks like a decent scuttle. I would prefer no writing. I have gone through 8 scuttles to finally end on a Swarzweisskeramik and a Georgetown G20. Both are excellent. The moss scuttle was very nice as well.
I just ordered a large Robert Becker scuttle on eBay for $55 shipped. There are lots of options definitely shop around.
I got the crown king scuttle from Amazon a couple wks ago for $26.00 +shipping all the others were too small or too expensive. I am very HAPPY with it, warm lather through out the entire shave.
I've heard good things about Georgetown Pottery Shaving Scuttles, so I ordered one. Still hasn't arrived, though, so I can't speak to the quality myself. Personally, I don't feel comfortable giving that individual my money.
In my opinion go Georgetown or an artisan. A friend and fellow shaver I know has a g20 and bought 2 more from Doug Smith on etsy with great results.
Go Georgetown, for two reasons. (1) The rubber stopper keeps hot water from escaping from your scuttle, even if you turn it upside down. (2) Exceptional craftsmanship, even on their "seconds."
I purchased this scuttle also on Amazon...think it should be here tomorrow .... The youtube reviews I watched said it worked well.
