I am not too picky on size for brushes, as long as they do not go up my nose when I lather. +1 What he said hehe
This is just an idea.. I dont know yet if even I like it.. But maybe its time to make an UN-traditional brush.. Maybe somethink colorful.. With an odd handle design.. Just to make it stand out in the crowd.. Just playing with ideas here.. And I think I like the knot around 20-21.. Not too big..
So, would a Kent BK2 filled with their usual hair (silvertip - ala BK4, BK8, BK12) rather than the grey badger be a suitable contender for this project? Maybe Kent could also silkscreen a unique TSD logo on the brush to identify it as the forum''s brush?
I am in agreement about a smaller brush, all of the other forum brushes have been either too large or too floppy to be useful for me. The only exception might be SMF's first brush made by ShaveMac, while I find it too large for my tastes, my wife loves the design and size. What about a Simpson Tulip/PJ variation or another resurrected "Heritage" brush by Rooney? I guess it depends if you are looking for a completely customized brush, or an existing style with TSD imprinted on the brush. If you really want to try something different, perhaps a Plisson EW?
NO ! to Kent ..............................Ive already got 1 Ill agree with the "smaller is better" crowd. After all its not the size that matters... its the technique that counts
I'd be interested in one of the smaller SR(silvertip)/Simpson/Rooney models as well, if it's an unusual/unique/customized brush all the better. I know it probably makes things harder on the negociating end, but I think it has more appeal than just 'rebranding' an existing model, so to speak. J
