My wife and son have been rearranging some rooms and I have been blessed with my own office / man cave. It is small but I am grateful. I will be working on a way to store my shaving gear. So I pulled out my dad's old pipe box to use as a razor holder. Hopefully by Christmas I will have two more slots filled. It will only hold six but the box has a special place in my heart. My dad passed when I was just 12 years old. The inside still smells like pipe tobacco.
That is my plan, I have few trinkets from both my dad and my younger days, but still plenty of room to store blades.
Nothing life changing, but you did ask. Crosses and fish key chain my mom brought back from Israel (Early 80s) The Arm Band was given to my dad while he served in the Army at the Panama Canal Zone circa 1941 My dad's Army dog tag Two of dad's pocket knives 3 un-matching cuff links (on the pocket knife that is open) 2 gold neck chains from my teenage years - my poor attempt of being GQ - not sure why I still have these. My high school class ring Some old pictures of my boys now 23 and 21 Not sure what the red-cross pin is from $2 bill my first working bonus. - I was a bag boy, I mean a "Courtesy Clerk" - The store manager called me over one day and pulled out of his pocket a money clip with 2 inch wad of money. He told me that without my effort we would not have made top store in our region. He opened the wad of money to display a $100 bill. Be began to thumb through the bills, 100, 100, 100, 50, $50, $50, $20, $20, $10, $10, $5, $5, $2 - He gave me the $2 bill. He said if kept it I would never grow broke. - Great boss
My dad brought one of those fish key chains back from the Middle East in 1969, which he still has. Great that you have those items and memories.
Great box. Now that all your razor gear is in the box, where are you storing your pipes and pipe tobacco?
