Very kindly donated by Joe at Shave A Buck. I selected the cool cream as the ingredient list stated it would cool and soothe. Do you know what? It does. An excellently performing product at what is a great deal from Joe (gman41). Out performs high end products. Scent I would describe as 'traditional' which I like. Arrived in jig time too. Thank you very much.

I am reviewing the Dalan Eucalyptus Menta cream, which lathers really well, and gives pretty good skincare. However, I find no cooling feeling from it, but it's still ok! I received this cream from a trade-off.

    Cheap, and Effective Turkish Cream

I have tried the "Sensitive" "Cool", and "Energetic" varieties of this cream. Despite a slightly different formula for each cream, I can't really tell any difference between the three; they smell the same, and perform the same.

I purchased mine from Shave a Buck. At the time of this writing (Christmas 2009), they are available for $2.99 each, or three for $8.00.

The scent of these creams are fruity, and remind me greatly of "Fruit Stripe Gum". I find the scent to be very pleasing.

Comes in a 3.5 oz tube, which is the same size as a tub of TOBS.

Overall, this is a very good budget minded cream. It's not as good as TOBS for example, but does produce a rich lather, that is more than adequate for shaving. I used the three creams for about a month, and I didn't suffer razor burn, or dry skin. These creams perform well, and are pleasure to use.

I am quite happy with this creams performance, and would certainly purchase it again.

Brand/Model: delain d'men / Energetic. Used with 4-day old Feather blade and Merkur HD.

    • Ease of Lather: 9/10, Not many creams will lather as easy as this one does. Used about an almond size amount and that was more than enough for 3 passes and touch up.
    • Life Span of Lather: 9/10, lather never dissipated during entire shave
    • Moisturizing: 7/10, not bad, but not super either.
    • Lubrication: 9/10, this cream felt VERY slick and a 4 day old Feather blade glided easily over the skin.
    • How Protective: 8/10, Pretty good. I think the Lubrication has much to do with this.
    • Scent: 6/10, Not saying it's bad because it's not, but this is not a high end luxury scented product. The scent is a nice fresh clean soap scent. The scent is very lite and mild in comparison to something like Arko
    • Price: Free via PIF (thank you, Jody!) But a quick search finds this available at Shave A Buck for $1.50 a tube (3.5 Oz) making it an extreme value. Rated a 10 for Value.
    • Would Buy Again: If I was in need of a high quality low cost cream, definitely!
    • Other Notes: This version does have menthol and does provide some cooling, but it is not in the same league as creams such as Proraso, TSD Sub Zero, etc. If you like a cooling effect but find those fore mentioned creams a little too much, this might be in your sweet spot.
