Staurday we are off to Italy for a week, Umbria! So, I might just drop in on Mastro Livi if they take visitors

Got to play some golf with my Dad yesterday and very nearly got my first Hole-In-One.
Good thing I didnt cause we're still paying for our vacation and I didnt have nearly enough cash on my to buy many drinks !
Smoked a La Rosa Especial on the course.

 

Hmmm...good color and form. Nice even burning ash. Gimme!

Old Powder Keg Robusto

This dark little robusto lives up to it's name and then some. Starts off with a heck of a kick and keeps on coming. The few years of age I have on this one has probably mellowed the flavor out a bit and it is quite a nice smoke. Not one to smoke on an empty stomach for sure!

 

Yeah, the pics a little off kilter, couple more should fix that

 

Sweet! A good quality Vodka (or "Brännvin" as we call it here) beats most Whiskeys IMO.

 

One of my favorites:

Cranberry Walnut Salad w/ a nice crumbled Amish Blue Cheese and grilled chicken. Perfection!

Had these twice this week. Costco Lamb Shanks in Mint and Rosemary Sauce.



After looking at the price though, it may be a while before I have them again. I didn't realize they were that expensive.

and Lamb is the best meat out there !
