    Fetzer is a California winery known for decent "inexpensive" wines.
    I'm not a big fan of them but the GWurtz has received many accolades as of late.
    I wouldnt call this offering a "sugary , sweet" one - more of an off-dry wine.
    Paired very well with the spicy tuna sushi and I think would work with spicy Asian cuisines in general.

    Ah, okay, thanks for educating me in this department!

    The Traminer and the Gewürztraminer are also grown here in Austria and these variations are very sugary sweet - more like cocktail-wines.

    OK, I just drooled all over the keyboard. I'm not skilled at baking since I don't do it enough but that Crumble Apple Pie looks delicious. My family would love for me to attempt that recipe. YUM!

    Valborsmässoafton

    Today is the King of Sweden's birthday, and "Valborgsmässoafton"

    A slap up meal;

    Taters, onions and carrots ready to go in the oven, then to be served with a chunk of rare meat and a red wine sauce... Accompanying me through the cooking will be an APA (loads and loads of Amarillo hops) homebrew, served in my "NorthernBrewer.com" US pint glass.

    I'm also working hard on a bottle of MASI Valpolicella! Yum!

    And after the meal I intend to light up my Jeantet with a bowl of "Brobergs Jubileum".

    This is a long weekend in Sweden, and it starts NOW! Have a good one you too!

    Quelle surprise!

    Great photo!

    (The "Quelle surprise" was what I heard on the telly, by a female voice, as I opened this post... enhanced to the experience!)

    I know you are a grown up person, but please take care with the absinthe!

    Thank you! I’m still doing tests with my new lens and I’m really happy with it. By the way, absinthe is really not what rumours say. It’s certainly not more dangerous than say vodka. Or gin. Or vermouth. Damn, I want a martini.
