Mail call today from Stirling and Maggard's.

These are 1 oz samples of Stirling soaps that I never tried before. I already placed them in my old Stirling tubs from soaps that I titanicked. I took the labels off and placed them on the lids while covering the original soap titles
Of course I had to smell them. Right off the bat, Barbershop and Bergamot/Lavender were my top two. Barbershop has a vanilla vibe and the Bergamont gives more of a sophisticated Lavender scent. The other three were pleasant, but the scent strength was light. Maybe when I foam it that the scents will pop more. As an aside, I like Stirling's customer service. They write a little thank you on the bill of sale as well as putting in a free gift. In this case, I got a free Sharp Dressed Man bar of soap to go along with the "man" shave soap samples. That really is a nice touch by them.

Obviously, these items were from Maggard's.
I can't wait to try these Pella Blades in my Schick Injector. I got these on a Black Friday Special for 6 dollars. 20 Pella blades in a magazine vs 7 Schicks is a good deal. I am banking that these blades are sharp. The Clubman Styptic pen will make it easier to close wounds because it has a higher concentration of alum than the block. Total cost all the goodies was 25 dollars and that includes shipping. It would cost me close to 50 of dollars if I didn't cash in on my Stirling rewards and the Black Friday discount on the blades. 2022 will be a No Buy except for replacing my aftershaves. I have more than enough soaps, aftershaves, blades and of course razors.

    Maggard's Alum Block (Chips)

I was tempted to use one of my new Stirling soap samples, but I am sticking to the original setup. Truly, I am still socially acceptable, but I was in the mood to shave.
Everything worked well with my 2 pass shave so I won't bore you with the same details. Sorry, I got caught up in taking pix of my new items that I forgot to Take a pic of tonight's setup. You guys have seen it before so it is no biggie. Have a good night.

I believe the soaking/rubbing regimen has had a positive effect. Both brushes are noticeably "fluffier" and softer at the tips. By the end of the month these two little piggies should be as comfortable to use as their larger 49 cousin. Gave the bowl a break and face lathered for two days.

I couldn't resist those Pella blades from Maggards either! A $.99 alum block was a timely purchase in my Maggards order as mine slipped out of my hand this weekend.

Do not get me wrong, but I like Chick's, however I decided to take a rider on Pellas. Although my original 95 g travel Maggard's Alum Block was dropped leaving me with chips, I was toward the end of its life and I needed to get a new Block anyway. Yes, it was very timely for you and me to get a 99 cent Alum Block.
