So, I found this blade at a yard sale up in the mountain of Ky. The fellow I bought it from said that the blade belong to his great uncle who was a coal miner. It intrigue me because it was piecemeal together. The top cover is homemade and it appears that he took a rolls blade and just drilled a hole in it. It reminds me of times when people had to struggle just for food much less run out to the store and grab a new blade. IMG_3148.JPG IMG_3150.JPG

thats soooo cool...love stuff like that, where you can stare at it and try to wonder the story of it...I also know that some of those mountain dwellers are pretty darn crafty when it comes to doing just about anything.

Very interesting. Sharpen it, and, Let us know how it shaves.

  7. That is very cool. A time when if you needed it, couldn't afford it, you made it. The ingenuity of do it yourself people. Love it.

Very cool, it's kinda like a Rat Razor, instead of a Rat Rod! Hmm....ideas![IMG]
