We will give names to darn near anything...our teddy bears (hardly surprising), cars, vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, just to name a few. Do any of you name stuff? If so, what & how do you pick the names? A few examples of ours; Cars- Trevor the Jeep & Sally Sodium, the Ioniq Vacuum cleaners- Herbert the Hoover & Bruce the Shark (after the mechanical shark from “Jaws”) Sewing machines - Naomi the Janome and Beverly the Singer (after Beverly Sills, the opera singer.)
No, but my kids name my cars, and they are old enough to have their licenses. Sent from my DROID Turbo using Tapatalk
Not lately. When I was a kid, in the early seventies, we had the giant green Pontiac station wagon that we called "the tank."
Yes I do.... My last car was Chester. My cat was Casserole (she was large and rarely moved) My bicycles are Blucifer and The Gray One. I need to come up with a name for my new car....
I always name vehicles. I now have Dents..98 nissan pathfinder that the previous owner dented in several places. My expedition is "the ghost" white paint. My 2003 Dodge quadcad hemi 4×4 was "the beast".
I don't name inanimate objects. They don't come when they are called, so I never felt the need to name them.
I/we do. I think it's more of an inside thing, meant as a joke. Lately everything is named after my wife's side of the family.
Funny, the kids named my red 2006 Dodge 2500 4x4 Diesel, "Big Red". I recently bought a new red Jeep Wrangler, and its name is "Little Red". It makes the kids happy.
