I have a Made Rite that could use a new knot and I don't want to do it myself - any suggestions anyone? Not in a rush just would like some info. I just love this chunky handle on this Vintage Brush.
It looks like an Ice cube...perfect handle for a menthol monday shave of the day. Ive followed the instructions and been able to steam-out a few knots myself. But, I understand wanting to leave it to a pro...nice brush.
Contact Rudy Vey at http://www.ultimatependesigns.com/ He used to do re-knots for people, I don't know if he still does or just makes custom brushes. It's actually fairly easy to do yourself, there are a lot of threads on how to do it. I have that same brush, mine is labelled as a 71 on the bottom, it still has the original pure badger knot that I use. It's a great brush.
Considering the cost to pay someone else to do it (plus s&h), DIY knot-replacement can be quite appealing.
Yes Razor Emporium does a brush revamp like they do for Razors. On their webpage go to Services, then Brush Revamp.
