Dog / Cat Food Recall

Hi,

We just heard on the news that there was a Dog / Cat Food recall issued, and we had some of the food in question.


Please make sure that your Dog /Cat food has not been flagged for recall.

Some peoples animals that are thought to have eaten this food have had Kidney failure and other health issues..Including Death

 

Thanks, Neale. Fortunately, the stuff I buy isn't on the list.

Your note reminded me though, that there are well known warnings about feeding dogs or cats GRAPES (or raisins, of course). Can apparently cause acute renal (kidney) failure in some animals. I wondered if it was just an urban legend, but my sister-in-law, the vet, is the one who told me about it, plus I looked it up on the ASPCA site. http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?pagename=pro_apcc_publicationsgrapes

The majority of the affected foods have all benn producedc by one company-"Menu Foods". fortunately, I feed Jazz pedigree products, not Iams or Eukanuba which are both on the list.
