A couple of months or so ago, I was shopping in a local Dollar Tree and spotted a bin full of shave soap pucks. On a lark I picked one up put it in my cabinet and almost forgot about it, until a few days ago. It is green, and had Bpure imprinted on the top of the puck. I got it out, dropped it in my VDH bowl, loaded a lightly wet synthetic brush, and began face lathering, which is my preferred method. It lathered decently. As I began to shave, I immediately thought it had decent lubricity. Additionally, cushion was decent. All in all, I thought it was a very decent soap, especially for $1.25! I remembered the store had a bin full of pucks, so I thought maybe I would pick up another one. Nope, no more in stock. Today went to a different Dollar Tree, remembering seeing the pucks there at one point. Nope, all out. Best soap I have ever used? No. But at $1.25 for a decent soap, I should have stocked up when I had the chance!
Amazon has it for $5.00 now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLH4GC1K/?tag=thshde-20 It looks like the price varies a lot depending on the retailer. Dollar Tree might have been dumping inventory. If you want a shaving soap that is both good and affordable, there is always Van Der Hagen. It can be had for about $4 on Amazon. As with B Pure, the price varies depending on the seller. Dove and CVS Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar also work well, and are very good value for the money.
