In the spirit of March PIFing Madness, I have a nice ball-end TECH and a (used once) puck of HTGM Coconut Bay SS that need a new home.

This PIF is open to anyone with a CONUS shipping address who doesn't already have a TECH. If the winner happens to be a newbie (under 50 posts), I'll also throw in a couple blades to try.

The PIF closes this Friday (the 14th) at 5pm (EDT). Sometime after that, Edmund, the Chief Penguinator, will pick a winner with some help from random.org.

To enter, post a TECH-nical fact about penguins (the animal, not the hockey team).

An unusual fact about penguins is that in 1973 the last NHL goalie (Andy Brown- Pittsburg Penguins) appeared in a game without a mask.

***ETA while going through my big box of crap, I found a tech I forgot I had. Not In.

Emperor Penguins are the largest species and as a side note it's my understanding that they're excellent singers and a few like to dance.

I don't have a Tech, so count me in.

I'm in. Other than they eat fish, I don't know much about penguins but this is one of my favorite videos to make me laugh. It does need sound to be at it's funniest!

While most penguin species are not sexually dimorphic (male and female penguins look alike), during mating season you might be able to distinguish the female penguin from the muddy footprints on her back left by males during mating

I'm in. I haven't tried a vintage razor yet. The smallest penguin species is the fairy penguin. They only grow to about 17" high and weigh around 12 pounds. The largest species is the emperor penguin which can be 47 or more inches tall and weigh as much as 90 pounds.

Penguins in Antarctica gather together in huge groups in the winter to keep warm. They use body heat and rotated into and out of the center of the circle to share the heat. A nice model of cooperation and compromise.
    Please count me in.
