Double Posts

Seems like many are experiencing double posts and even double threads.

Does it seem like your reply is taking a long time to go through, only to time out with an error message coming on the screen? Just close the error message - your post actually did post.

DO NOT HIT POST REPLY A SECOND TIME. This is what is causing the duplicate post.

Go back to the main forum and you'll see that you were in deed the last person to post.

I had a double post. I had a red popup message. I did nothing.

 

It has been happening a few times.

It's not happening all the time, for me, anyway.

I haven't had any time outs or 2x posts, but I do have posts that are hanging or waiting for several seconds before compleing when usually it's almost instantaneous to complete.

 

It's happened to me a couple of times.

 

I think they have pills for that now. But if it hangs for more than 4 hours, you should head to the ER.

I have seen the same problem from my smartphone, home PC and work PC. A "The server did not respond in time. Please try again" message is displayed, and it looks like the post did not go through. Trying again results in a double post. The first time I saw this was yesterday.

Oh well, there is always the delete post button for peeps who have not read this thread.

 

Just bumpin' this 'cause I noticed quite a few duplicate posts yesterday.

 

Happened to me the first time yesterday. Promptly forgot this thread in the heat of the moment. Do you have an update coming to fix this?

 

I don't. I do know it is something Sparky is keeping an eye on.
