Yes, you read that right. After nine years, Dr. Jon's is closing up shop. To say I'm bummed about this is a bit of an understatement. The company was initially based in my home state of Ohio before moving to New York, and I still have some pucks of the 1803 scent pucks and aftershaves. My favorite scent is the Blacl Label, a fruity pipe tobacco scent. I hope somebody convinces him to hand over the name and line, because I really would hate to see this label go away forever. What's your favorite soap from this company?
Bandit and Lime (from their essentials line) are my favorites as is the Dracula line of their Halloween trio.
Savannah Sunrise... Excellent scent. V3 was a good base. That said, I'm not surprised to see artisans going under considering how saturated the market has become.
I missed getting the Gold Label. I have a tin and companion aftershave splash of Black Label, which is really great as scents go, but not necessarily for those who aren't partial to fruity aromas.
