Hiya! I'm using Nivea for Men face wash. It's cheap, readily available and most important of all - it works and is scentless. Now... I need variation. Any recommendation for a drugstore face wash of good quality and low price? Mind you, I live in EU so US only brands may be difficult for me to obtain. I see a lot here use Axe. Are they any good? I know the deos get quite some hate all around the globe... Hit me!
I've been using Axe chilled face wash for a few weeks now. I think it's very slightly better than the Nivea menthol at softening my whiskers. I still like Nivea but if you can get Axe chilled there, it's worth a try. The Axe chilled ASB is ok. I think I like Nivea sensitive a little better though.
We have loads of Axe here, but mostly deos. I'll see if I can locate the face wash. Aveeno Mens is not available here as far as I can see.
Sorry, I see that they're available in UK, Greece, and France, but it's not clear from their website whether Denmark has them readily available. I take it you're averse to buying online due to shipping concerns or similar?
If it's in UK and/or France I can easily get it, I just haven't searched that much yet (at work and on cell). I don't mind online, just as long as shipping doesn't "kill" it
Wha?!! Just using 1 product instead of 12?! Outrageous. Tuxx, Cetaphil is not a sexy brand, but it's been around for years & is esp popular for sensitive skin. It's a gentle, unscented drugstore cleanser that's also distributed in Europe & the UK. Cetaphil also makes a moisturizer & other products, but I've only used the cleanser. (Same product is in the face wash and body wash, just the bottle differs)
***Fingers off the key board and nobody gets hurt. This thread is being hi-jacked.*** Ya know, I really enjoy being able to use a different scent every morning for my shave. With over 50 soaps, it's a lot of fun. So that got me to thinking (read - headed toward potential trouble), why not several different scents for my shower soap? I know you've mentioned Brambleberry, so I took a peek. I could get three pounds of melt and pour, a mold, and three different oils for a bit less than 50 bucks. It would be a start. But I ask you as a soap maker, does a 4 oz. bar last long enough to make it worth it? Also, any other place you would recommend besides Brambleberry? And just so you know, I really don't want to get into all the chemistry that goes along with cold pour. ***We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. ***
CereVe is a dermatologist recommended brand that is inexpensive and very gentle. Cetaphil is another good one.
Lots of great suggestions! Sadly though, most is unavailable here in EU :-( But that gives room for some future trades
I don't know if you will find it there but the only facewash I will ever use is Noxzema. One tub costs 3-4 dollars american and will last you a year. It also has a strong cooling menthol feel. It is mild not too overdrying and it has been around for generations.
Step 2 of the Proactive line works great for me. It seems to help balance out my very oily acne-prone skin (not perfectly but better than anything I've tried)
My wife uses Clinique and sometimes I steal a bit from her. It's not bad but more suitable for her skin type. I personally use Neutrogena Face Wash (the one in the clear bottle, amber color liquid), and when I have the money, and the time to go to the mall and buy it, Zirh Face Wash. They're both great, non drying and last a long time.
