I have been doing no shave November so my brushes haven't seen as much action as I'd like and after picking up my 2 boar brushes and brushing them on my hand I noticed hairs coming out. Is this normal for brushes that get dry or is it maybe because they are lower end brushes. One being a VDH boar and the other being a no brand brush. Let me know guys, thanks.

I know that hairs break off if you play with them to much when they are dry, that is a part of why we soak them before using them.

I don't think you need to brush boar brushes

Cheap brushes. I rotate though 18 brushes, different one every day, so it's 2-1/2 weeks between uses; plenty of time for brushes to thoroughly dry. I don't have any issues with any of them losing hair. Then again, @Omelmad might be on to something... I don't rub dry brushes on my hand.
