Problem is it won't dry without air getting to the bowl; you've got a seal with the counter top. And if you're towel drying it before you flip it over, what water is there to drain out?
Yep, thas it. I love the handle. My late cousin was a barber and cut my hair most of my life. When I saw that handle, I absolutely HAD to have it. It reminds me of my cousin. Swarden, I wipe it with a towel. I'll keep a closer eye to see if is drying or not. If not, I'll figure out something to lift the lip off the counter a bit. I dont make any extra effort to see if it is dry from towel wiping. I'll check it tho. I havent even thought about it. Thanks for the heads up.
I have had my eye on that barberpole handle for a long time now. You are the the first one that I've seen post it. Very nice my friend. I think it runs about $60 which is not the cheapest, but a no brainer for the sentimental connection.
When I bought mine, he had 1 showing in stock. I emailed him and he said he had a few more then updated his site. I dont remember his name but know he is a vendor on the shave forums. He was super nice to deal with and got my order to me very quickly. I love the handle. I saw quite a few that I liked but that one spoke to me.
Yeah, the guys name is Bob Quinn, and I have one of his handles already. He does great work, and I think that barberpole is a one of my favorites. I will own one....someday.
