I have been an avid bird watcher since "93". The great thing about living in Arkansas and nearby Oklahoma, is unlimited opportunities to bird watch. My wife also enjoys bird watching too. Across the border in Oklahoma is a NWR, called Sequoyah. We went out there to bird watch the reserve. Wintering Eagles nest there, there is a nest that is easily seen. We saw mother Eagle on the nest. The naturalist told us she has laid three eggs. One on 12/21, second one on 12/24, the third one on 12/27. Eaglets should be hatched around the first week of February. This year they have set-up a live nest cams in two of the possible four nests that are there. Here is the link for the nest cam: http://www.fws.gov/southwest/refuges/oklahoma/sequoyah/idex.html Near the bottom will be the link for the nest cam.
Sweet. Your link just had an eagle in each nest..... cool. That remided me of one we have here in IA also. I had heard the Eagles were back, but the nest was empty so perhaps they are hunting right now. Last year there where chicks in the nest and was really neat. http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles
thanks for the correction. The nest to the right is easily visible from the road. I can set-up my scope I can see all the activity in the nest.
