Just saw the DE3D14 on a few razor sites and on Amazon. The knurling is unusually fine but very handsome. Reviews say it's very grippy but comfortable at the same time. I've never bought a "new" razor before but might be interested in just the handle. Can anyone here confirm the reviews?
The knurling looks very nice, almost reminiscent of the Gillette Executive. I do like the upside down base plate in the pic, though.
HA! I'm so used to looking at Super Speeds that I didn't even notice. Nice pic otherwise. And yeah, it does look Exec now that you mention it. I can't find anywhere that'd sell the handle alone. Don't want/need the head. I'd like to put it with my Clix.
I really like my ej89 except I swapped out the handle because I found it to be slippery. I'd be very interested in this especially if it is more aggressive. I will say this - even though I can't speak for this razor in particular ej makes some seriously high quality razors. I haven't looked at reviews yet either, but I'd expect them to be very good. I have the ej89 and it's a very smooth and mild shaver. I still get very nice shaves with it even though it's incredibly forgiving. I wouldn't get the one with the smooth handle again. It has good weight and balance but I found it to be slippery. I've heard nothing but good things about all 3 of those razors so I don't think you can go wrong if your looking for a new razor on the mild side. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
I have the one with the lines on the handle and as long as the handle is wet with just water it's not slippery. Now, get a little soap/cream on the handle it's slippery. I'm not very neat at shaving and I rarely have any problems with grip. I know it's not the same handle but I can't imagine the knurled handle being more slippery than the lined handle. Does anyone know how aggressive this razor is? From the reviews it appears to be mild like the 89 series EJ....but that handle tho! Whoa! It is beautiful!
