I've noticed Edwin Jagger shave soaps becoming widely available recently. Yet, I don't see any reviews of these soaps except one review on Amazon. So, how good are the Edwin Jagger soaps?
I'd assume they are the same as the Mühle soaps. I have a puck of EJ Sea Buckthorn and it lathers wonderfully. Very moist looking and cushioning lather. I have a puck of Mühle Aloe Vera, and the lather is just as good. Strangely, my skin felt irritated after using it, which didn't happen with the Sea Buckthorn one. I'll give it another go one of these days. Price-wise, it's so-so. The puck is pretty small (around 65g, IIRC).
I don't know about a full blown review of the EJ soaps, but I have seen some chatter about them on B. Most people seem to dig it. Sea Buckthorn get's lots of praise for great scent, and working well, only real negative I read were a few folks saying they were a bit drying. I have a puck of the sea buckthorn that I got in a very generous trade with Alabamalawyer(thanks Chris), but haven't gotten around to using it yet. John at shaving essentials was kind enough to send out the ingredient list for all of the EJ soaps.
