There's some info on TSD member Jim @bladeshark web site Old School Shaving Brushes --> HERE.

It just shows a picture of the brush but doesn't say anything about the brush.

I'm not sure it this will be helpful, but it has be thought that the numbering of the Ever Ready was mainly way to suggest a retail price; hence you see many under the same number. Now with that thought You can see that a 150 of the same style is newer than your 89 and a 79 would be older. I am not an expert but would estimate the dating to be early to mid 70's. Hopefully @bladeshark can step in to assist.

Thank you and yes hopefully he will. Someone had said somewhere else that they thought the 89's were from the 50's. But who knows. Anyway thanks for the info.

Bottom of the page has some information about the company. Period advertising might give a clue, maybe patents?

:signs011: And I think from what I've seen, letters after numbers can tell you what kind of knot.

My guess would be sometime in the 70's, but still only a guess.

@jaro I was saying I believe yours is from the late 60's to early 70's and @brit brush I restored for him is from the mid to late 70's.

If memory serves correct, it would have been $0.89. This is not mine, only an image I saved long ago
