Alright I know there's plenty of SE gurus out there.. I saw this on the bay and was inspired to know more about it. Never seen one in a case like this or presented like this...

Okay, I fess up.. I was the one who purchased it.
I put this in my watch list last night and when I woke up this morning I saw a BIN on it and nearly crapped my pants. I'm assuming someone around these parts asked for one, but I was the lucky benefactor. Perhaps after losing over a dozen auctions in a row from snipes and aggressive bidding (as well as staying home sick today), Karma paid off. But still, I really don't what exactly I purchased? It looks like a lather catcher to me..

 

looks like a lather catcher.. and a wooden handle at a glance.. Veddy nice. I have not seen a set like that. But just at a guess I would say you got one heck of a deal. When you want your money back yell at me
