Ever take a DE on a plane?

My family and I are flying to Disney World next month, and I was wondering if there will be any problem with airport security if I pack a DE razor and extra blades in my checked bag. Anyone tried it?

With a checked bag there is no problem at all. I usually carry mine on board and they will check it about half of the time just to make sure there is no blade in it.

The funny thing is that I traveled weeks with a fresh pack of Wilkinson blades in my carry on. I had been looking for them and forgot that they were neatly stashed away in my dop kit. Finally after going through quite a number of securities, one of the TSA agents saw them in Minneapolis, and I gave them up.

Well, if you do run into any issues on your trip to WDW, we are 50 miles away, so I can run what ever you may need up to you on our way to Kitty O' Shea's

I just got home from my honeymoon literally 2 days ago and checked about 10 blades in my luggage. No problems at all

Just don't try to carry them on

I take my bags all WITH me in the cabin out of paranoia of TSA's staff and their misinformation. I take my DE with me on every trip. I haven't been on a trip since i've been using a DE without someone going with me and they've always checked their bags in so my blades go in their bag.

So: Take the DE. Leave the blades in the check ins.

Ditto to the above. You will be subject to losing them in carry on.
