Ever tried Clotted Cream?

Sounds terrible. We have a guy from the UK in our office who brought in clotted cream and scones today and it's delicious. I'd put the flavor maybe somewhere around soft butter and mild cream cheese. Time to loosen the belt.

Yes. But no more, because I am off dairy...and all cereal grains, and legumes, and sugar. :)

Not even close it's very creamy like room temperature butter.

It's the cream in "strawberries and cream." Not as good as Arko on toast, but a nice accoutrement to many dishes.

    Don't be sad. I haven't been this healthy in 20 years. :)

You can get it at whole foods if you have one near you. It's refrigerated.

It makes me so happy to read this. Foods seem to cause many apparently misdiagnosed and unrecognizable issues in the body.

Me, age 32, I ate all the foods. Was sick all the time, GI, arthritis and respiratory issues, bloated up to 300+ on a 6-5 frame.

Now, after a medical Celiac diagnosis (also rampant in my family), and a complete and similar diet revamp... Age 42, ~190, feeling way better. I am on my feet and doing physical work hours each day and therefore don't "diet and work out", but my body apparently reached equilibrium again after 30+ years of autoimmune induced misery.

If a person is ill all the time, it might be food.

Yes, I love it, along with Double Devon Cream (similar, but slightly thinner.) Both are delicious on an English muffin.

    That's terrific!
My sadness would be from my own abstinence.

No meat? No bread? That would make me sad. If I couldn't sit down to an IPA and a charcuterie board ever again, I'd be inconsolable.
I have a friend with Celiac syndrome. She just looks at a piece of bread and goes all rashy!

I abstain from barley (beer), rye, oats, wheat and milk; I limit consumption of refined sugar to small amounts these days. It was hard at first, but it's no big deal now. I don't drink, but those with celiac need to stick to wine or liquor, grapes are gluten free and distilled alcohol is safe generally. I am not a vegetarian.

Yes, having spent some years in England as a kid taking trips to the country. BTW, there are gluten free scone recipes.

In 1988 I took a flight to London England via now defunct Wardair. Early flight included clotted cream on scones served on Royal Doulton china. Large seats that felt like a lazy boy. The days of flights like that are ultra expensive now, it's sardine sitting and a sandwich if your lucky.
