I don't normally do SOTDs, but this was one of those shaves where everything just came together perfectly into a luxurious experience, a very close shave, and a great feeling face. So I was inspired to snap a photo after I was done. Pre: washed face with Stirling Christmas Eve body soap (mainly fir/pine with warm spices in the background); lathered with Stirling Coniferous shave soap and applied hot towel. Lather: Stirling Coniferous lathered on the puck in a mug with an Omega Pro 48. Shave: Gillette 7 O'clock SharpEdge in a Merkur HD Slant (37c). Three passes: W,X,ATG plus very minor touchups. Very close to BBS without even really trying for it. Post: Squeezed remaining lather from brush and washed face with it. Rinsed with cold water. Patted dry, then a little Aveeno hand/body lotion. Finished with a splash of Clubman Virgin Islands Bay Rum.
Congrats and many more! Some time try using that lather squeezed from the brush for your last shaving pass. Some of the best lather of the shave I think.
