    Hi everyone. I thought I would give my thoughts on a pretty good pre shave oil from Scotland. This product is exclusive to the company so one must order directly.

    I became interested in this oil after watching a video on YouTube.
    It comes in a 100 ml pump bottle. One pump and you have enough.
    The smell is very nice but not overpowering and it doesn't take away from the scent of your soap/cream.
    It offers good protection. I think it helps with glide but I realize everyone has different opinions with respect to pre shave products. If you don't think other oils/gels have worked for you in the past, this one likely will not either.
    What I like most about this product is that it's not messy at all. It's water soluble and washes off without leaving any oily residue. If you like oils but avoid them because of the mess or the feeling it leaves on your hands, this might be a good alternative for you. The consistency is not easy to explain: it feels like an oil but washes off like a hand soap.
    With the conversion to British Pounds, it's not cheap to import but I must say for me it's worth it and I will likely be ordering more post NB'16.
    Anyway, I hope this was enjoyable for everyone to read. Thanks.

    That sounds interesting. Does it soften the beard any? Does it condition the skin?

    I think it creates a bit of lubricant and slickness but I can't say it softens the beard any. I find it doesn't condition the skin the way a typical oil does.

    I'm glad it works for you. I've only tried the AOS Preshave oils, and found it thick and it went rancid quickly.
    I now make my own homemade preshave oil, that works better than the AOS stuff. The main reasons are that it adds lubricating ability, and the oil conditions the skin.
    I'm just frugal. Mine costs less than $1 for about 4 ozs.

    Sounds like great stuff Jeremy. Are the ingredients listed? Can you describe the scent?

    According to the UK Amazon website;
    Ingredients: : Aqua, Glycerine, Potassium oleate, Potassium cocoate, Potassium castorate, Parfum (blended essential oils), Limonene, Eugenol, Citral, Linalool, Benzyl cinnamate & Cinnamal.
    The scent is listed as lime and patchouli. I believe patchouli is a plant. It's very nice. I can detect the lime right away. I find it doesn't last long, which is fine when you are putting cream or lather directly over it.
    As an aside, I ordered this New Years Eve. It took nineteen days to arrive, so I didn't bust on NB'16. I'm still in.
    Rusty, your recipe for the pre shave oil was excellent, but mine started growing mould. I like this stuff for the non messy factor but all in all I think your oil is better. I'm going to keep using this for a bit.

    The new PSO sounds wonderful. And good that the parfum is EO based and not a chemical scent. Too bad the home-made batch grew mold. The ingredients are generally those items that sit on kitchen shelves for extended periods of time without going moldy. Odd.
