Sniff Sniff, I liked Rose and was bummed to see her replaced. But Amy has to be my favorite, but am not found over the new fellow playing the Doctor now.

The great man himself, Noam Chomsky. I've been reading his work for over 25 years and have always been astounded by his morality, truth telling and ability to unmask illusion. Someone said he is America's greatest intellectual , agreed.

My current avatar portrays a troll (Gizmo, if I am to be precise) who is busy owning a miniature arcade game

Isn't it a Gremlin rather than a troll?

Mine is from a picture of a Fish Crow I took. I like the nasal sound of Fish Crows.

From one child of the 80's pedant to apparently another, technically it's a piece of plastic that I'm going to call a troll which makes its image a better representation of my presence on the forum :)

I had a dog named stripe because she was gray with a white mohawk stripe. She was sweet and innocent until I fed and watered her after dark...

    This really is my face.

(also available in high resolution. It'll cost you extra, though)

Mine is the home of the San Francisco Giants, AT&T Park.

I've always wondered about that guy, Dale. And yes, he does have an awesome mustache

I loved the Warner Bros cartoons on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, especially the Coyote and Roadrunner. I didn't like the Roadrunner, though -- I was always rooting for Coyote, but he never won. I loved his amazing Rube Goldberg gadgets and imagined that someday I could do things like that, too, if I could just find an "Acme Gigantic Rubber Band"!

Anyway, my avatar is a tribute to Coyote, and to amazing inventions that go wrong.

I really like the band Clutch. It's kinda bland so I'm sure I'll be changing it again in the near future. If only I had a TARDIS.

I saw them a number of years ago at Hammer Jacks in Balmore. It was a pretty good show and the best part was that all the Clutch moms were there. It was fun seeing a small pack of 70 yr old women at a clutch show. Neal Fallon had us on the guest list as my old house mate from college toured with them the summer prior to the show.

Humphrey Bogart is my all-time favorite actor, and he epitomizes masculinity. To borrow a phrase from Gillette, good grooming makes you look sharp, feel sharp, and be sharp. Having discovered how to give myself a quality, comfortable shave in the last year after 40 years of an irritated, poorly shaved face allows me to walk out the door in the morning feeling good and confident. It's a great discovery.
