At this point, it's Moon Soaps "Warmest Regards". I keep sniffing the bowl. "Scent notes: Warmest Regards is a blend of Amber, Tonka, Oud, Rum, and Musk".
Stirling soaps are my favorite based on scents. They have some amazing scents from Christmas tree to citrus scents. I love Captain's Choice but Scott doesn't have the variety, but he does have a matching performance.
If I have to go with a single scent I will have to pick Stirling's Christmas Eve. It will make you think you are in a pine forest.
Figaro Habzo shaving cream. It's a very mossy Fougere. The aftershave matches, but contains a small amount of menthol. ...and, unless you're Hungarian, seems to be near impossible to get these days. It's virtually unknown outside of it's home country. It was a popular cheap option when Shave-a-buck was in business. Ach. Brito Musgo (Moss) shaving soap smells near identical, though much lighter, and I would assume that Ach. Brito's Claus Porto Musgo Real (Royal Moss) would be the penultimate form of this particular scent.
Normally, I read INCI and then I look for other specs. But I've two hard soaps that actually I've bought just for fragrance: 1. Floris London Elite 2. Carthusia Uomo Not bad soaps. For sure, not the best. Pricey, but very long lasting. I mean very!!! But the smell takes me to Seventh Heaven ...
The Art of Shaving soaps are my hands down favorite. Every single one of their scents are very high quality, as are the soaps. The downside is the price, which is exorbitant. Of soaps that I would use regularly, The Soap Opera Himalaya shaving soap is my fave. A great scent and a great soap at a very reasonable price.
Nice. Thanks. Reminds me an easier version of the Kell's Original. The Ultra Aloe Blend was the best melt & pour glycerine soap ever seen. http://www.ilrasoio.com/viewtopic.php?p=68711#p68711 Here the TSO Shave Soap Disk section. Good idea to produce 2 model, for mug and bowl. I'd like each product page have the actual ingredient list. (INCI) Looks like there're 4 versions, with little differences: • Aloe • Olive • Shea • Classic The higher, the better.
absolutely fabulous barbershop scent..my favourite...and it's a bonus that it's performance is also top shelf..
HetV: Cognac and Cuban Cigars Barrister's: LGC Stirling: Satsuma, Almond Cream, Black Cherry, Haverford SW: Pomona Mike's Natural Barbershop A dozen others I can't think of off the top of my head
Our own TSD shop's Winter Pagoda. Wonderful. I plan on trying others from there soon. TOBS Eton College. Another favorite of mine. * * * Do you like menthol? A lot of menthol? Like, the maximum possible? Cryogen by Chiseled Face.
not sure on the barbasol, but mot clubman like.just a cologny woody type scent, like something tobs would make..hard to describe.
I haven't tried Stoylin's. I am trying to reduce my soaps. My wife uses them as well and they just seem to last forever.
