Feather AS-D2 compares to which razor?

I've read about every thing I can find about the AS-D2, but I am still somewhat confused as to exactly how mild it is. I've read it is milder than a Tech but have also read it is comparable to a Weber. Now that I've decided to own three razors, two of which I have and two to sell, this looks to be an option. I seem to like mild razors.

Does it shave like a de89/r89? Weber? New SC? New LC? In other words which razor would the shave compare to?

It`s profile is similar to the Tech.Shaves about the same if you ask me,and the Tech is my favorite.

I've seen one up close but as yet, haven't tried one. The head construction seems like a heavy duty version of a Tech and I heard it shaves a bit like one. Reports are that it's milder(less efficient) than an 89 and that it's really smooth, maybe more so than an 89 which is a smooth shaver. By all accounts it's a razor that is probably best suited to the light to medium bearded...

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

Its slightly more aggressive than it's AS-D1 counterpart, however as others have said its more mild than a tech and you literally will need to use hefty pressure to try to get razor burn with it - and even then its a maybe. That being said, it's not an inefficient razor at all, the AS-D2 was meant to widen the sweet spot that was needed with the D1 to get a decent shave; and from many accounts it has done that. Worth the $200? Not sure. I still want to try one but don't need my wife smacking me upside the head with the truck.

I have one and can say it is a beautiful razor,BUT...the price makes me love the Tech more.I will keep it because when I hand it to my son,it should look the same because of the stainless steel.Maybe I will grow to love it.It's in my rotation.

I have one and really like it. I can use it for a daily shave with no cuts, scrapes or weepers. It cuts quickly and safely. I can let my mind wander and still no problems. For more than a one day's growth. I add a shim and still get a great shave. However with the shim I have to pay more attention. Now I have an ATT M2 as well. I took the shim out of the AS-D2 use it for light shave and touch up days. I use the ATT for heavier shaves.

Thanks Speed. I haven't shaved with a Tech but imagine it is similar to my 48-50 Aristocrat. If it is efficient then it may be an option. If it is more like the Aristocrat it may be too mild for tastes.
