For the past couple of days I have been using a feather blade in my new fat boy. It's only early days, but I have come to realise that feather blades don't deserve their scary sharp reputation. To me it seems there is little or no reason to fear this blade. It glided over my face like there was no blade in the razor. Just out of curiosity, I tried the HHT as done on straight razors and it failed. But as with straight razors the ultimate test is the shave test. And the feather passed the shave test with flying colours. I can see that the feather blade is going to become one of my favorite blades.
Agreed, I rather like them as they do a great job on my skin. Of course anything that is not Gillette does great on me. If I can get a teacher to show me how to use this straight that will win out otherwise it looks like the Personna Platinum Super Stainless win.
