Has anyone ever used this safety razor? I've read good reviews on it but wanted to know if anyone experienced it first hand? I ordered it, should be in on Thursday. Cheers!
Which one? Jatai makes the AS-D1 as well as the Feather Popular razor. Both I believe have been used by members around here.
I have the Feather Popular. While it's ok for what it is and for the price, if you've ever used a vintage Gillette TTO you might be a little let down. Reminds me of a Gillette "Super Adjustable" in looks and a Gillette "Knack" in feel and function. Main drawback for me was the light weight and too much plastic in the head. Mild shaver

I have the Feather Popular and don't have any complaints about it. It's lighter than my Gillettes, but it shaves just fine. I've gotten some weepers with it. It shaves about as well as any of my others.
I ordered one of these feather popular Wed from amazon and got it yesterday (Sat) going to try it out later I'm just undecided to use the Feather blade that came with the razor, or one of the (green)-Astra SP blade i have.
